When you pick up the Georg Jensen COBRA, its smoothness and weight is apparent. Designer Constantin Wortmann set out to make a traditional candleholder for today. It is reminiscent of an antique candestick in its substantial weight and height but is nothing like its forebears in that it has voluptuous, gravity-defying curves rendered in mirror polished stainless steel. Like the mystical snake that inspired it, it can be hard to look away from COBRA candlesticks, particularly when arranged in pairs or threes.
